Shoulder and Neck Physiotherapy

Shoulder and neck pain can come from a range of causes — from postural strain and muscle tension through to rotator cuff injuries, joint stiffness, and nerve-related symptoms referring into the arm. At Calwell Physiotherapy Clinic, we assess your neck and shoulder together where relevant, since symptoms in one area often relate to the other.

Conditions we commonly manage:

  • Rotator cuff-related shoulder pain and impingement
  • Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis)
  • Shoulder instability and dislocation rehabilitation
  • Cervicogenic headaches and neck-related headache
  • Whiplash-associated disorders
  • Degenerative neck conditions, including cervical spondylosis
  • Nerve-related pain referring from the neck into the arm or hand
  • Postural strain from desk work or repetitive activities

Our approach

We assess movement, strength, and joint mobility in the shoulder and neck, along with how your symptoms relate to posture, work setup, or activity load. Treatment may include manual therapy to restore movement, a progressive strengthening program, and practical advice on workstation setup or activity modification. For conditions like frozen shoulder, we'll also talk through realistic timeframes, since these conditions often follow a gradual recovery pattern over months.
